After my degree as a commercial and management engineer, and further professional experience in industry, I joined the banking and finance sector. Firstly in a corporate andcompany credit function, next in developing a complete head office covering both corporate and retail operations for ABN.
I then took a position as financial director in a large hospital with responsibility for 200 people, devoting 80% of my time to operational and human resources management tasks. I discovered the consultancy profession improving the operation of institutions and management, where my main responsibility focused on.
For 20 years, I have managed several consulting companies both in the financial and public or health sectors and by mergers and acquisitions joined Eurogroup in 2001.
My fields of interest obviously cover finance, management charts and management control, but also the introduction of management structures, the improvement of operational processes and adaptation to change. My current responsibilities also cover management of EUROGROUP CONSULTING in Belgium and taking part in the creation of the Eurogroup Consulting Alliance in Europe.

After years of long and very serious studies (a Master in economics, Sciences Po in Paris, 3rd cycle finance), I decided to specialize in banking, following a long family tradition. So I joined the Edmond de Rothschild 's financial company in Paris as an internal consultant (already!).
After a few years I decided to go in the consulting business by becoming an associate in a new company created with some friends. After 5 years, I received an offer from a client (GAN Assurances) to become director of the organization. I found this business exciting, yet I quickly missed the commercial challenges. So in 1997, I decided to join EUROGROUP CONSULTING in France, aiming to create the Insurance sector. At the same time, I published a book co-written with GAN's quality director "Re-engineering – how to go about it" (Editions d'Organisation).
Moving to Brussels establishing EUROGROUP CONSULTING in Belgium meant the start of a new adventure for me and my family. Appointed for 3 years to develop the company taken over by EUROGROUP CONSULTING in Brussels, and to penetrate the banking and insurance sectors, I moved there and became (as my children say), Franco Belgian. I still feel deeply rooted to my country of origin, becoming President of the Belgian section of the French external trade council, an association of French managers who, like me, are expatriates. It's not so easy to forget one's roots.

Almost 26 years of age and with both a University Degree in Economics and a College of Europe Masters in the pocket, I somehow arrived at the very end of the ‘student life cycle’. The most logical career move was to become a civil servant at the European Commission and ‘cash in’ on my investments. So I became a poor consultant working for a small Belgian consultancy firm finding myself in the middle of nowhere in Hungary trying to turn loss centres into profit centres.
Next I wanted to valorize this first experience and further develop my consultancy skills with an internationally renowned player. I joined Accenture in 1994 and for 12 years I have been part of an organization that excels in training, knowledge management and delivery.
Yet something started nagging me and I realized that I remained too much of a little cog in a huge fast moving machine. I lacked the feeling of having a real impact and the need to be creative. For the first time since I started working for Accenture, I opened myself towards other possible career moves outside the firm. And all of a sudden, there they were, out of the blue, EUROGROUP CONSULTING. Small but beautiful and full of ambition. I joined them in late 2006 and the transfer went surprisingly well. The 'can do' attitude, the development of creative solutions according to the client's needs, the real entrepreneurial spirit, the diversity of the consultants… These are all elements I have found since I started and these are the distinguishing features that make EUROGROUP CONSULTING stand out from the pack. And with our European Group, there are also exciting International projects on the horizon to work and to develop.
